The Partridge Pedal Party will take place Saturday October 20th. This annual town celebration sponsored by the Partridge Community Association offers a day of fun and old time entertainment with a bicycle theme.
Early arrivers can stop in a Paul’s Garage on the north end of Main Street for a hearty breakfast served by the Arlington Mennonite Church Youth Group.
Line-up for the parade starts at 8:30 on King Street. The parade should be passing down Main Street at 9:30 with floats, the Partridge Grade School band, antique cars, old tractors, horses and of course, candy.
As soon as the parade is finished there will be a couple of bike contests on Main between Ave C and D. Anyone with a bike can participate in the Skid Row contest to see who can put down the longest skid or the Slow Bike Race to see who can take the longest to reach the finish line.
Then the activities move to the park and bus barn behind Partridge Grade School. There will be plenty to do and good food too. All day you can visit the art room to see Partridge history exhibits and the poetry contest entries. Make sure you check out the raffle and silent auction items. Participate in all activities for free.
