Salt City Splash Aquatic Center

Salt City Splash Summertime doesn’t get any better -- or wetter -- than at Salt City Splash!

This 6-acre aquatic center, located in Carey Park features a shallow water play area with zero depth entry. Other features include a slide and splash toys for kids and a massaging wall for adults.

The Catch Pool has a 141-foot flume slide and an 89-foot tube slide. The 50-
meter competition pool includes 1 and 3 meter springboard diving, lap lanes,
basketball goals, 20-foot drop slide and large floating toys.

The Aquatic Center can be rented for special events.

The spacious new facility provides opportunities to soak in an over-sized moon crater waterfall hot tub, plunge down a tube slide and body slide, float along a lazy river around “moon base” island, and try to step across the pool on “floating comets” without taking a spill.

Water basketball is offered in a large activity
pool. And there is an exercise pool for those wanting to swim laps.

This exciting space-themed indoor water park is part of the Grand Prairie Hotel complex.

Free Water Parks
For a refreshing way to enjoy hot summer days, Hutchinson operates two interactive water parks open to the public. They are provided free of charge.
Both are open Memorial Day through Labor Day.
  • Fairgrounds Water Park is located near the Kansas State Fairgrounds. The water park entrance is on Severance Street between 17th and 23rd.

  • Avenue A Water Park is at the corner of Washington Street and Avenue
    A in downtown Hutchinson.
