Adventures Above and Below (Two Day Sample Itinerary)
Your tour group will travel from the heights of space to 650 feet below the earth’s surface all while visiting Hutchinson! This two-day itinerary of Hutchinson and neighboring Yoder Amish community adds some of the area’s best eateries and shops to create a tour that feels both sky-high and down-to-earth.

10:00 a.m. Launch into fun at the Smithsonian-affiliated Cosmosphere while gazing into the infinity of the stars and seeing Apollo 13. The Cosmosphere houses one of the most significant collections of space artifacts anywhere in its Hall of Space Museum.
In the Carey Digital Dome Theater, experience a film so vivid, the action seems to come to life. Next visit the Justice Planetarium, a multimedia theater with shows that explore the wonders of the universe. 1:00 p.m. Strataca/Kansas Underground Salt Museum is an adventure that you won’t soon forget! A 90-second descent will take your group 650 ft. below the earth’s surface into an active salt mine.
A special gallery displays costumes from classic Hollywood Films like Batman, Superman, Mr. Freeze, Agent Smith from Matrix, Matt Damon's uniform pieces from The Monuments Men and so much more.

3:15 p.m. Take a tour of Hutchinson’s Historic Fox Theatre, one of the finest examples of art deco architecture in the central United States. You will be greeted by one of the few original, functioning marquees in the country. Contact: Chuck Miller (620) 663-5861
4:15 p.m. Return to your hotel to relax and freshen up.

7:00 p.m. Attend a live performance at Stage 9, the Flag Theater or the Fox Theatre if one of their performances fits into your itinerary dates OR return to the hotel for a good night’s rest!
9:00 a.m. Load the Motorcoach and head for Yoder, located about 10 miles to the southeast of Hutchinson. Your group will take a step back in time when you visit the hub of the area’s Amish community.
