A visit to Hutchinson’s Historic Fox Theatre in Downtown Hutchinson is a trip back in time. Prepare to savor the glory days of entertainment the moment you enter this beautifully restored 1931 art deco theatre.

The Fox greets you with one of the few surviving original neon marquees in the country, which underwent its own complete restoration in 2011. The theatre is designated as the State Movie Palace of Kansas and is listed on the State and National Registers of Historic Places.

The Fox offers an eclectic mix of programming, including nationally touring theatre, dance, comedy and musical shows; a popular film series and an art education curriculum called “By The Bus.” The theatre is also the home to several outstanding local performing arts companies, including the Hutchinson Symphony, Sweet Adelines, ArtisTree and the acclaimed bi-annual production of “Prairie Nutcracker.”

The theatre seats 1,221 and features excellent acoustics, unrestricted sightlines and comfortable seating. Tours are available on request and the facility can be rented for business meetings, private parties, receptions, weddings and banquets.
