“Create-In-Place” 49 Hour Film Challenge - Online
The Hutchinson Art Center is teaming up with Stage 9 to do a 49 hour “Create in Place” Film fest beginning at 11pm on Friday, April 17th – 5 elements will then be released, and teams may begin to start creating their original films.
Deadline to signup is 9:00pm on Apirl 17th.
After signing up, the team will then receive an electronic packet which will include the necessary forms and detailed outline of the film festival.
Each film must be written, filmed, scored and include all 5 art elements. All films must have a MAXIMUM run time of 5 minutes (Disqualification is at our discretion, please keep your film PG)

The films must be turned in by Sunday April 19th at midnight in order to be considered a top three winner/ the audience choice award. All films will then be premiered on the Stage 9 and Hutchinson Art Center Facebook pages at 7pm, Monday April 20th (in no order) and be open to our Audience Choice Award. Voting for Audience Choice will close at noon on Tuesday, April 21st. On Tuesday at 1pm we will then announce the Audience Choice Award and the Winners of the 49 hour Create in Place Film Fest Award. The 1st Place Winner will win an Art Trophy from the Hutchinson Art Center and a goodie bag. The 2nd Second Place Winner will win an Art Trophy plus a goodie bag. The 3rd Place Winner will win an Art Trophy. The Audience Choice Winner will win a “Shelter in Place” Survival Kit. Look up the hashtag #createinplace49 to see updates and videos from the teams.
