The American Yankee Association, International Grumman Pilots Association is bringing their annual convention to Hutchinson and the Hutchinson Regional Airport, September 24-27, 2018.  They are expecting at least 50 aircrafts and nearly 100 people for the four-day event!  Currently attendees are expected from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Germany.

“This is such a unique conference because most of the attendees will be flying their own aircraft into Hutchinson.  We are excited to welcome them to the community, and show them all of the wonderful restaurants, attractions, and shopping establishments that make Hutchinson a great place,” said Holly Leiker, National Sports & Destination Sales Manager for Visit Hutch.

The public is welcome at the Hutchinson Airport throughout the week to view the aircrafts that will be parked near Wells Aircraft.  On Tuesday, Sept. 25th, the schedule includes various flying and ground activities taking place at the airport.

The convention attendees will get a great taste of Hutchinson during their time here.  Scheduled activities include a welcome dinner hosted at Airport Steakhouse, tours of Strataca, various educational sessions taking place at the Cosmosphere, and the closing banquet catered by Carriage Crossing.  Additionally, the conference agenda allows for the attendees to have a lot of free time and meals out in the community.
