'The Show Must Go on in Hutchinson'
One of the finest examples of art deco architecture in the central United States, HUTCHINSON'S HISTORIC FOX THEATRE has been restored to its original 1931 grandeur. The theatre greets you with one of the few original, functioning marquees in the country. It was the first flashing display of neon in Kansas. The Fox is recognized as the ‘State Movie Place of Kansas’ and is listed on the ‘National Register of Historic Places’ and it was voted as one of the ‘8 Wonders of Reno County’.
The Fox has a ‘Live Season Series’, Fox Classic Film Series and the Fox Film Series. Your group might enjoy attending one of the live shows like ‘The Barricade Boys Broadway Party’, March 21, 2025 or ‘The Association and The Cowsills’, May 3, 2025. Visit wwwhutchinsonfox.com for a full schedule of the current and upcoming shows.

The FLAG/FAMILY COMMUNITY THEATRE provides live theatre on a festival stage. A very unique aspect of this intimate theatre is the murals that line the walls. There are wonderful caricatures of famous and not-so famous individuals who sit side-by-side with the audience. Eight main stage shows are presented each year, featuring a variety of educational, comedic, dramatic, and musical presentations. For a full schedule of shows visit https://www.familycommunitytheatre.org/
Your group may want to do a ‘Murder Mystery’ where your attendees play the part of detectives to solve the crime. Or perhaps a good ‘old fashioned melodrama’ is more your style! The director and his crew at the Family Community Theatre will be happy to work with you to provide awesome entertainment for your group.
