Hutchinson, Kan. - Todd Kreidler’s expert theatrical rendering of the classic film Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner gives Stage 9’s its second regional premiere of the season. Matt and Christina Drayton’s comfortable white, middle-class life turns upside down during volatile social change of the 1960s, when their daughter, Joanna, returns home with her fiancée John Prentice. Dr. Prentice is a world-famous doctor, who also happens to be black. Suddenly, the Draytons find a challenge to their longtime progressive values. Not only do Matt and Christina find themselves facing difficult personal questions about their family, so do the surprise guests who are coming to dinner -- John’s parents.
Performance dates are: July 25th-28th & August 1st-4th. Performance times are: Thursday-Saturday: 7:30 p.m., Sunday: 2 p.m. Ticket prices: Adults: $25, Seniors and Students: $15, Rush tickets: $9.
