For the 72nd consecutive year, the NJCAA will move into Hutchinson for a week and shine the spotlight on our wonderful community to basketball fans across the country. In recent years the hashtag #ROAD2HUTCH has organically taken off on social media platforms as NJCAA DI Basketball programs highlight their season with the ultimate goal of playing in the Hutchinson Sports Arena in March.

In 2019, the CBS Sports Network aired the Championship game live from Hutchinson for the first time. Last month the NJCAA announced that the Championship game will be featured on CBS Sports Network again in 2020 and 2021.

“We are excited to have Hutchinson and the NJCAA Basketball Championship featured on CBS Sports Network for the second year. Last year we were able to showcase Hutch and the wonderful support our community gives to hosting the Championship each year. We encourage the community to be at the Sports Arena at 1pm for the Championship Game on Saturday to help show the viewers of CBS Sports Network how much Hutchinson loves NJCAA Basketball,” said LeAnn Cox, Vice President of Operations & Tourism for Visit Hutch.

The 2020 Championship will feature an upgraded look as the NJCAA announced a rebrand in 2019. This new branding will be highlighted on new flags in front of the Hutchinson Sports Arena and lining the light poles along 11th Avenue, provided by Visit Hutch. Brand new portal signage in the Sports Arena as well as banners will also display the branding. For the first time since the 1990’s, the NJCAA DI Men’s Basketball Championship logo will be front and center on center court of the Sports Arena.
