AZA Accreditation Celebration at the Zoo

The Hutchinson Zoo has received accreditation from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).  To celebrate the achievement, they will hose an AZA Accreditation Celebration on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 10:00am-4:00pm.  The schedule of events includes:

• 10:00-11:00 am: Rehab Behind the Scenes/Open House
• 11:00 am: Meet and Green - Mini Farm Feeding
• Noon-1:00 pm: Otter Keeper Talk and Behind the Scenes
• 1:00-2:00 pm: Caiman Training
• 2:00-3:00 pm: Porcupine Meet and Greet
• 3:00-4:00 pm: Bison feeding and Behind the Scenes

All experiences are free, and pre-registration is not required.  Guests can also enjoy learning stations set up throughout the zoo all day, providing additional educational opportunities for guests of all ages.
