5 Things to Know About Visiting the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson

The 2022 Kansas State Fair is just around the corner!  As you plan your trip to Hutchinson to celebrate all things Kansas, here are the top five things you'll need to know!

1. The best deals happen BEFORE the Fair
Whether it's gate tickets, ticket packages, unlimited ride wristbands, or concert tickets - the early bird get's the savings!

• Gate Tickets: 30% off before the fair starts.  Available at KansasStateFair.com, at any Kansas Dillons Store, or at the Kansas State Fair ticket office.
• Ticket Packages: Don't hesitate because they sell out quickly and offer huge savings on food, gate tickets, rides, and more.  
• Midway Wristbands: Get unlimited carnival rides for one low price! Wristbands are $5 less when you buy before August 31st.
• Concert Tickets: Buy your ticket online before coming in to the fair and get FREE gate tickets with your purchase!

2. Come during the week if you can
The best deals happen on the weekdays (and you'll avoid the crowds!)  Here are just a few:

• Monday, Sept. 12: Dillons Dollar Day - Get in FREE with your Dillons Plus Card. Don’t have one? Gate admission is just $1.
• Tuesday, Sept. 13:  $2 Tasting Tuesday – Try samples of some of your fair favorites for just $2.  Admission is also just $4 after 4:00 PM.
• Wednesday, Sept 14:  Shop ‘Til You Drop Day – Get the best deals of the week at a wide selection of vendors.
• Thursday, Sept. 15:  Young at Heart Day - $2 admission for those 55 and older.
• Friday, Sept. 16: Chiefs Red Rally Friday - $2 admission for those with the Kansas Lottery PlayOn app.

3. Parking is FREE
Need a place to stay?  Hotel rooms are still available for most weekdays.  Find a list of all lodging accommodations at VisitHutch.com.

 While you may drive by a few fundraising events in nearby parking lots – parking at the Kansas State Fair is free in one of the two large lots near the grounds.

• Hint - there is also a free shuttle service that will take you to and from the gates!
