2026 September Third Thursday

Every resident has a story and ‘40,000 Stories’ brings them to life at the September Third Thursday, on September 17, 2026, from 6:00-9:00 pm.  This Third Thursday centers on local storytelling through spoken word, art, music, and shared experiences.  It's a night to listen, reflect, and celebrate the voices that make our community unique, connected, and strong.

In 2026 Third Thursday will expand programming geographically and creatively, growing Third Thursday from Avenue A through DCI Park, while continuing to prioritize experiences that align with the arts-and-culture mission. This expansion will allow us to support more artists, offer more variety, and create a downtown experience that feels dynamic from end to end.
