Salt City Youth Track Meet

Ready, set, go! The Salt City Youth Track Meet is back, May 2, 2026, beginning at 8:30 am. — and NEW this year, it’s completely FREE for all youth athletes, not just Salt City Track Club members!  We’re inviting young runners, jumpers, and throwers from across Hutchinson and the surrounding region to come compete, challenge themselves, and experience the excitement of track and field in a fun, supportive environment.

Athletes ages 5–12 (Kindergarten–6th grade for the 2025–26 school year) can participate in up to three events (or four if running a relay). Whether it’s sprinting down the track, soaring in the long jump, or giving their best throw in a field event, this meet is a great way for kids to build confidence, showcase their skills, and enjoy the thrill of competition.  Each field event will include three attempts per athlete, giving everyone plenty of chances to improve and have fun.

Important Details:

• FREE entry for all participants, including Salt City Track Club athletes.
• Registration required in advance (no day-of meet entries).
• Each athlete must register so we can build the meet roster.
• Bring the energy, cheer on your teammates, and experience a great day of youth track and field at Don Michael Field Track.
• Register by April 27 to secure your spot!
