Enjoy a day of hiking through Horsethief Canyon at Kanapolis Lake. As we hike the trails, we will look for snakes, lizards, and other natural things. We will stop along a stream to eat a sack lunch and build a beaver dam. On our way home, we'll stop for dinner (on your own).
- Students must be physically able to hike semi-rugged terrain and not be afraid to get wet or dirty.
- Participants need to bring money for dinner, a sack lunch, water, sunscreen, bug spray, appropriate clothing, and closed-toed shoes that can get dirty and wet, hat, towel, and a complete change of clothes including shoes.
- Drop-off and pick-up will be in the Dillon nature Center parking lot.
