Hutchinson Emancipation Celebration will take place August 5-7, 2022 at various locations.

Friday, August 5

  • 6:00-7:00pm - 3-Point Shoot-Out - Washington St Between A & B - $5
  • 6:00-8:00pm - Chester I. Lewis Park Dedication
  • 8:00-10:00pm - Jazz in Avenue A Park 'Kansas Big Band' will be performing
  • 8:00-10:00pm - Teen Dance - Kansas State Fairgrounds Dillon Hall (Free)

Saturday, August 6

  • 10:00am - Emancipation Day Parade - Main St. Ave. B-12th Ave
  • Noon - Emancipation Community Picnic (Free picnic, bounce-houses, vendors & music) - HCC Stringer Fine Arts Center
  • 9:00pm-1:00am - Emancipation Dance - Kansas State Fairgrounds Dillon Hall ($10 per person)

Sunday, August 7

  • Emancipation Gospelfest - Ice Cream Social Following
